Regular cleaning of rugs in different areas can restore their original appearance and extend their lifespan. There are two basic methods for rug cleaning: dry cleaning and wet cleaning. Regardless of the method used, it should only be carried out by professionals who have received proper occupational training.
There are two methods of dry cleaning:
Foam cleaning
This is the most common method of surface foam cleaning for rugs. A foam cleaning machine uses a rotating brush and an implanted wet vacuum suction head to spray a large amount of detergent onto the pile of the rug. After cleaning the pile, the detergent foam and suspended dust are removed with a vacuum and suction machine.
Dry extraction method
This method is achieved by manually or dispensing the solvent, emulsifier, water, and detergent mixture onto the rug surface. After rotating washing for 30 minutes with a washing device, the detergent and dust are absorbed.
Dry cleaning is a surface cleaning method that can effectively restore the cleanliness of the rug surface, but it does not remove the deep-seated dirt in the rug. A thorough cleaning is required to completely remove the dirt.
When the oil and sticky substances on the rug are obviously gathered, and the accumulation of dust and dirt has affected the color and elasticity of the rug pile, and dry cleaning cannot be removed, rug wet cleaning should be performed for thorough cleaning.
The methods for wet cleaning rugs:
Spray and suction cleaning method: This method sprays hot water and detergent onto the rug under pressure. With the action of water and detergent, a rug washing device with a rotating or oscillating brush separates the dirt from the fiber and then removes it by suction.
